Action For Blind People Charity

ACTION FOR BLIND PEOPLE provide amazing support for young people who are blind or have impaired sight. There are around 33,000 children of all ages in the UK facing real challenges in life, from socialising, education and becoming independent adults. They aoperate under the umbrella of the Royal National Institute for the Blind and Partially Sighted People who are more commonly known as the RNIB.

This charity helps the children to socialise through their ACTIONNAIRES Clubs where they offer a range of activities from music, drumming, ten pin bowling to art and dance. These activities are in addition to the variety of sports on offer, including swimming, athletics, basketball, goalball, judo and rock climbing. All activities are organised to ensure children and young people can take part regardless of their vision.

£10 could buy a soft beaded ball, which rattles so children can hear it when playing, £20 could enable a child to go kayaking for the day, £50 would pay for two sets of climbing harnesses and rope, £100 could help 15 children have a supervised swimming lesson and £250 could enable two children to attend one of the charities weekend residential breaks.
