Charity Golf Day avoids the rain-just!

One thing you cannot organise in the UK is the weather.  You can plan everything else to the finest detail, but when it comes to rain or shine, well that in the hands of fate.

For this year’s Waterlooville Rotary Charity Golf Day, sponsored by Clares Office Supplies, we managed to get the odd shower, but we all know about golfers, they come prepared and our fantastic golfing supporters certainly did not let a bit of dampness spoil their enjoyment.

Held at Southwick Park Naval Recreation Centre near Portsmouth, the golfers took part in a 9 hole Texas Scramble in the morning and an 18 hole Stableford competition in the afternoon, followed by dinner in the Club House with prizes for those who produced the best scores.

Our grateful thanks to all the teams for helping us to help others.  Many thanks to all our sponsors and supporters for without you we cannot do these events!
