Sun Shines on Charity Golf Day

The sun was out and so were 20 golf teams taking part in the annual Waterlooville Rotary Charity Golf Day held at Southwick Park Golf Club.
Following a bacon roll breakfast, the morning was spent playing a 9 hole Texas Scramble and the after a soup and sandwich lunch, with an 18 hole Stapleford competition which started off from 4 separate starting points around the course to allow the golf to play smoothly. The whole day was completed by dinner in the clubhouse.

This event is one of the Club’s main opportunities to raise money to enable the Waterlooville Rotary to support local charities, so a huge thank you to our sponsors and to the teams taking part. It is very encouraging to us as Rotarians to be able to welcome back each year our regular supporters who always seem to enjoy the day and help us with our charitable work.
