Waterlooville celeberates 40 years of service to the community

It was in 1976 that the newly formed Rotary Club of Waterlooville began its service to the local community and internationally, having been created from the bigger Cosham Rotary.
100 members and guests celebrated this milestone in the club’s history with a birthday dinner at The Langstone Hotel, Hayling Island.
Founder President Peter Jessop who gave the birthday toast at the dinner is still an active supporter of the club which has seen many changes over the years, but all based around the motto of ‘Service above Self’.
Those founder members who were present may be a bit greyer than when they started but the spirit and fellowship that they injected at the first meeting is still very much in evidence today!

Happy 40th Birthday, Waterlooville Rotary Club!
