Waterlooville Rotary supports Canine Partners

President Roger Parsley has chosen Canine Partners, the assistance dog charity based in Midhurst, West Sussex, to be one of his chosen charities for this year.

These highly trained dogs are a life line to many disabled partners who  find themselves having difficulty doing the everyday activities most of us take for granted. Trained to pick up and deliver to their partner’s hands items they have dropped, help them dress and undress, or open, load and unload washing machines, or using cash machines, or helping get food off the supermarket shelves are just some of the many things these wonderful animals can achieve with their 100 commands training.

Canine Partners have recently started work on a second training centre near Loughborough and they are always looking for ‘puppy parents’!

Labradors, Retrievers and ‘Labradoodles’ make the ideal canine partners.  Maybe you have a puppy who could become someone’s lifelong assistance dog.
