Children get purple pinkies in the fight against polio

Rotary International, of which our club is part, has been at the forefront of the global battle against polio.

Thanks to the massive efforts of Rotary Clubs, brilliantly supported by the Bill Gates Foundation, we are almost there in eradicating this dreadful illness.

The immunisation programme is still at full pelt and as a child get their life saving immunisation, they are given a purple ‘pinkie’ to show everyone that they have had the treatment.

Your charity donations help to eradicate polio in the poorest regions of the world.

Help give a child a PINKIE!
