Santa helps switch on the Waterlooville Lights

Crowds of happy families joined together on Saturday 21st November to enjoy the annual switching on of the Waterlooville Precinct Christmas Lights.

Waterlooville Rotary Club was there supporting Santa who assisted the Mayor of Havant on stage with the ‘plunger press’ that lit the tree and lights all along the precinct.

Carols, choirs, entertainers, stalls and a fun fair all added to the enjoyment.

Although a very cold evening it was a joy to see the children and their families entering into the spirit of the occasion.

Santa and his sleigh, together with his elves will be touring the streets of Waterlooville at the beginning of December and club members will be accompanying the sleigh collecting for local charities at Morrisons in Horndean and ASDA in Waterlooville. Come and say hello!
